No, the solder I used on all the pieces is Canfield Technologies' Lead-Free Silvergleem Solder, specially formulated for jewelry making. It's composed of 96% tin and 4% silver, lead free.
Make sure you're not allergic to any of the components before purchasing a piece containing solder.
It will not stain your skin green, tin does not oxidize in that color, it does not produce verdigris.
With standard care for your pieces, they will maintain their color.
To prevent and avoid changes in the tone of your pieces, check the following question.
What not to do:
Spray perfume on top of solder.
Wet the piece and not drying it by hand with paper.
Wear your piece, sweat a lot on it and not cleaning it.
Use ultrasonic cleaner for pieces that contain natural stones, as it can crack them.
To clean:
Use regular dish soap and water, using a soft teeth brush if possible. Dry with a paper towel and rub with the microfiber cloth that comes with your piece.
When to clean:
If you sweat a lot or if you smear perfume or body cream on the piece. Frequent cleaning is the key to maintaining color and neutralizing the smell emanating from the metal.
Yes it is, but be careful with the thinner parts in a soldered pendant. They can break or deform if you apply way too much pressure to them.
All the spikes on the pieces are sanded and polished. They should not hurt.
Yes. I crafted every piece by hand.
For one of a kind pieces, yes.
If it isn't a one of a kind, it will be a very similar piece. You cannot find two identical natural stones nor can the soldering process be exactly the same.
If it doesn't have stones or solder, it will be the same.
